The firm's regulatory compliance practice encompasses federal issues, such as RESPA, Truth in Lending, HUD and VA matters. We also advise clients on state regulations and laws throughout the nation. In the past few years, Predatory Lending statutes and ordinances have become of paramount importance.

State licensing and approval issues are handled by our licensing department in such a manner as to make the state licensing process as much of a “turn key” operation as possible. We obtain lending licenses, arrange for agents for service of process, obtain the authority to do business, secure the bonds, etc.

Litigation is never pleasant, yet realistically, we know that our clients occasionally must face problems with issues evolving from lending, loan sales and warehouse agreements. We also are frequently called upon to represent our lender clients in disputes with dissatisfied borrowers, or state and federal regulators.
